.::Paper Wrapped Chicken::.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams Chicken breast (boneless)
  • 2-3 Red Chillies whole
  • 8-10 Springs onions
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Five spice powder
  • 2 tablespoon Dry sherry (optional
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Egg
  • Rice / Butter paper as required
  • Oil fro fryng

How to cook:
  • Clean, trim and cut chicken breast into half inch sized pieces
  • Soak read chillies in half a cup of hot water for ten minutes. Drain remove stem and cut into julienne. Wash, trim and finely chop sprin onions.
  • Peel and finely chop ginger. Mix chicken piec with five spice
  • Whisk egg with a pinch of salt and keep. Cut sixteen piece of rice paper/butter paper measuring six-inch by six inch.
  • Brush each piece of paper lightly with the whisked eeg mixture and place two tablespoons of marinated chicken on one side of the paper. Dizzle some marinade on the chicken and roll tightly. Finally press or twist the tow ends to seal.
  • Heat oil in a wok or deep pan and deep fry the paper wrapped chicken in hot oil for two to three minutes. Drain well and serve immediately, with a sipcy sauce of your choice.
